A Legacy of Conservation
The Story Behind the Turkey in Our Logo.
One might wonder why a turkey appears in the logo of a ranch known for its Brangus, Ultrablack, and registered horses. The story goes back to the 1980s, when we were in the early stages of restoring and cleaning up the ranch. During that time, Texas Parks and Wildlife selected our land as one of the first release sites in Texas for the reintroduction of the Eastern wild turkey.
At the time, this was the largest reintroduction of any species in the nation – and it went on to become one of the most successful wildlife conservation projects. The presence of the turkey in our logo serves as a lasting symbol of that success and of our dedication to preserving the land, wildlife, and heritage that define our ranch.
